How your entry layout should look and accepted picture rules

Meat goats(all types)
Name: (if registered, put registered name)
DOB:
Owner:
Weight: (this will only be for wethers category and only if you have the weight)
side view a must

front view and back view only if you can get it.

Pygmy goats
Name: (if registered, put registered name)

Owner:
Side shot a must
front and back only if you can get it, but it is preffered

Dairy Goats(including recorded grades)
Name: (if registered, put registered name)
DOB:
Months fresh:
Hours in milk(in the picture)
Freshenings: say if she is a 1st freshener, 2nd, etc.
Owner:
Side shot, front shot and back shot all required.

If you do not know your goats DOB, please put how old you think they are.

Pasture photos are only acceptable if the got has it's head up and is not hunched up or grazing. Milk stand pictures are only accepted for back shots; if you use the milk stand with the thing that their head is chained in for side shots, that is acceptable.
For picture taking hints, tie the goat to the fence, put the feed dish really high on the fence when you take the picture, put your camera on timer and set it on the milk stand while you are setting the goat up.

Do the goats have to be shaved? I know that it is desirable, but is it required?

No, it is not required. Although it is desirable, like you said.

And most people do not shave their goats this time of year! :) It is just sooo cold out. brrrr!

LOL I know!!! Brrrrr!! Aaagh. But I seriously cannot wait until it is warm outside!!! Especially since after Christmas I now own over $400 worth of goat shavers... :roll: lol!!! :D I think everyone in my herd is going to be naked next year...
