I hope it is a good long time, because there is NO WAAAY I can clip my goats that early :-D I think July is the earliest I can 'undress' them. Before that they would freeze :) Well, maybe not quite freeze, but it most certainly would be uncomfortably and unhealthfully COLD.

I'll have to talk it over with the other admins and see how long we should have entries be, probably 2 or 3 months but I'm not sure. :)

We are thinking about starting to receive entries the first of April, and entries will be open for two months. We also may be having a second show later in the summer.

i think a second show is a great idea, i have a lot of does due as late as june. It will also give kids another few months to grow and fill out before being in the next show too.

Yes that does sound like a good idea. I loved doing the show last year and I wanted there to be another one too.

I'll talk it over with the admins, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to do an April show. I am swamped with kidding here and can barely get to the computer, and we are moving the show to a new board which isn't finished yet, so we'll have to see how things are going to go. :)

I know what you mean! Things are crazy here as well. I can't imagine trying to do all the work you all do here while there are kids being born! Maybe we need to get someone who doesn't have goats yet, to help with the forum management.

Hey everybody...

I have been swamped too! I feel bad that we haven't gotten everything done, and I hope everyone understands. Between school, kidding, and life.. it is hard to keep it all up-to-date :).

Anyways, I hope we can get it going soon. Maybe we can extend the entry deadline too.

I can't wait either although I need to charge the batteries. right now I am getting 28 goats ready to show next weekend. The bad part about it is that it is 2 shows on the exact same day/time and about an hour and a half away from each place. One show is the junior spring district show(not sanctioned but it pays well entry is only $2, 30 min away from where I live). The other show is not a new show but by a different club (sanctioned duel ring but no premiums and $5/goat/show plus pen fees about 45 min from where I live). So I am going to be at the junior show with 20 goats and I borrowing the ffa trailer. Mom will be at the other show with 8 goats. Then the next week after those shows starting on thursday is a quad show (about 3 hrs from my house) I think we are taking 18 or 19 goats we are staying till late sundya night. I also have a junior show along with 2 buck shows there too.
