We have decided to do the show here while we work on the new board. I am very sorry about the show not getting started on time. All three of us admins are still in highschool....we are homeschooled, though.

We are going to start clearing out the old entries...and we will let you know when you can start entering your goats!!! Thank you for your patience! LOL! :D

Well I hope by the time we get this show up and going Lyrae will actually be competitive. With how thin she is she probably wouldn't do well right now. *sigh* I really appreciate you guys doing this for us though! :D

They don't have to be clipped, but it does make your animal look better. I believe we will have the entries open long enough that it will be warm and they can be clipped. :)

Happy Online Showing! :D

Oh! I guess I can clip Lyric sometime and get her entered. Too bad it's too early to do Lyrae though. She's still pregnant and looks terrible. :(

LOL Sarah. We've clipped udders, but thats about all. I gave a few of my does 'dairy clips' and took their pictures, so we'll see how they do with that. I can't truly clip anyone for at LEAST a month, so most of mine will probably be dairy clipped.

I dairy clipped three today, they have what I call 'mantles' their hair is so long and furry(they get it from their sire) but they had pretty little udders under there :) Two of the were yearling milkers, I was tempted to clip them all the way, they are just so pretty.

I know what you mean. I have a little buckling here that is black with moonspots. They look chocolate, but underneath they are turning white. I really wanted to shave him and see what he really looks like! Some of these goats are still mighty furry!

LOL, eliya I was the same way with Autumn. (nubian doeling) She had all colors of brown spots with white roots. I couldn't wait to clip her... just to see what she'd look like. When I got all done, she was striking. I showed her to Dad, and as he is partial to brown, he said, "Autumn! You look ugly!" All that work to go unappreciated. ;-)

I got Meg clipped yesterday... when her udder is fuller I'll take pics and post them. I couldn't believe how beautiful she was under all that brown fur! (She was chamoisee with black trim) She turned out my favorite color, mostly black and silver with brown fading. I should have took before and after pics. Meg pb french alpine, I love her to death and she'll be easy to set up. I bought her this year from an abusive home... when we first got her it was obvious, she was always acting like we were going to hit her and flinching. (did this to previous owner, too) Now she never does that and she's the sweetest goat I have, constantly licking me and following me everywhere, and this is a 2 y/o milker. I'm anxious to see how she'll do. She's more general appearance than mammary. It looks like to me that she may have had mastitis. (not surprising considering the conditions she lived in.) Long, well blended and strong doe, but lacks a good fore udder and rear udder and her teats are a bit too long for a FF. Maybe my buck will keep her body style but throw some depth and a bit stronger topline in, along with mammary. (he's known for that.)
